Like Father, Like Daughter

Blood is thicker than water. After first building an independent and successful career in banking, Henk’s daughter Nicole joined the ranks of the family business three years ago. Nicole also started to take an active interest in the
pigeon racing sport with support from loft manager Greg Bekaert, and stepped into the illustrious footsteps of her father and grandfather. She was immediately successful, ranking in the National Ace Pigeons in 2015. JAN, bred from two direct Stefaan Lambrechts pigeons at the breeding centre in Breda, took 15th position in the National Ace Pigeon Championship Middle Distance Young Birds KBDB (Royal Belgian Pigeon Fanciers Federation).

The same successful trajectory continued in 2016 with a small team of yearlings. In particular the national great middle distance races were targeted, resulting in a.o.: 14th National Argenton 12.389 yrls., 25th National Argenton 18.363 yrls., and 50th National Chateauroux 9.540 yrls. The icing on the cake of the successful racing season 2016 was that Nicole and Greg also won the 2nd National Championship Great Middle Distance Yearlings KBDB.
